united methodist men

The purpose of the United Methodist Men is to engage in a variety of Christ-centered activities for the benefit of the ministries, programs and activities of the church and its’ members. Since its’ formation in 1948, the mens’ organization strives to create opportunities for men of the church to be in service to Christ and to his community.

United Methodist Men, through the giving of their gifts and services, enjoy fellowship, companionship and the love that comes from being in service to the Lord.

At St. Paul's Methodist Men donate funds and time to support many activities including:

Youth Programs - Boy Scout Troop #439, Venture Crew, and

Cub Scout Pack #478

Bus and Van Operations

Volunteer-in-mission work projects

Church library

West River United Methodist Center

Also, we make contributions to organizations such as the NIH Children's Inn, National Children's Medical Center and the Salvation Army.

The Methodist Men raise funds for these purposes through several regular fund-raising events during the year. These include: Pancake Breakfasts on the 1st Saturday of every month (except July & August); semi-annual Indoor Yard Sales; Fall Apple Sale;

and the Christmas Tree Sale.
